DIY_Printed Giftwrap
I have made printed gift wrap in past years, and wanted to make some more than was specifically customized for the person receiving the gift. I made a dreamcatcher inspired wrapping and also a music inspired paper. I have also made tags to really complete the look and add a special touch. I hope you enjoy this tutorial!
To create the feather print paper, I simply freehand painted some feathers onto craft paper with black acrylic paint. I suggest mixing the paint with a little water so that you can paint more freely.
For the dreamcatcher tag, I used a store bought round paper tag, and drew on the dreamcatcher pattern with an ink pen. I added some beads in red.
For the feathers, I used the ink pen to draw feathers onto the craft paper. I then simply cut them out and taped them to the back of the tag where I added the to/from message.
Here is how the gifts look wrapped! I finished them off with some red raffia for a rustic feel that matched the red beads.
For the music inspired paper, I used this large sheet music stamp that I had around from a past project from Michael’s. Instead of using ink, I used the same acrylic paint and water mixture to create the pattern.
I repeated the stamp until I had a paper printed with music notes. You could also wrap a gift in sheet music!
For the customized tag, I folded a sheet of red paper in half lengthwise and sketched out an electric guitar. I cut this out, added the message, and attached to the gift!
Here is the music inspired wrapping! These packages were finished off with a festive plaid bow.
